Spelling Words

· Each week we will have a new set of words.  These words give the students an extra look at patterns that appear in words. 

· We will test on Friday. 

· Please practice all of these words.   Some ways to practice are by having your child read the words, spell the words aloud, spell the words on paper, or write the words and cut apart the letters and put them back together.

This week we checked out our first library books of the year.  Please read at home with your child each night and encourage AR tests whenever possible.  I will send home the results of the STAR Reading Inventory on Monday so you can see how your child scored and some areas on which to focus at home.

Thank you so much for all you do.  You are the most important people in the lives of your children and I am so happy to be working with you this year.
